In August 2023, MONGOMAR celebrated its 50th anniversary, surrounded by clients, collaborators, and friends who have been part of our journey. It was a special moment to reflect on the path we have traveled, the vision that gave birth to this company, and the values that have guided us to where we are today. During the event, we experienced many emotional moments, but one in particular touched us deeply: the reading of a letter from Lucía and Gerhard, a German couple who placed their trust in MONGOMAR over 50 years ago to build their home in Spain.

Lucía and Gerhard’s words reminded us that a company is not just about what it does but about the mark it leaves on the lives of those who trust in it. Their testimony took us back to our early days, when MONGOMAR was not just a business project but a dream driven by the belief that every home should be built with dedication, commitment, and, above all, heart and soul.

"Dear María Eugenia,

First of all, our warmest congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Mongomar—your successful company.

We also consider ourselves fortunate to have acquired our little paradise, Las Estancias, exactly 50 years ago. We were probably among the first clients. At that time, Spain was still a dictatorship, and many in Germany asked, ‘How can you invest there?’ It took a bit of courage to do so. But there was a gentleman named Benito who inspired such confidence in us that all our worries disappeared. We were still very young, and thanks to your warm-hearted parents, we were able to discover Denia, its landscape, culture, and people. In fact, we fell in love with this country—with its scents and delicious food.

We have wonderful memories: the invitations to your home, where we got to meet the whole family. A beautiful friendship developed over the years. The celebrations were truly special, and it means so much to us that even our grandchildren have inherited our love for Spain.

Your father was an exceptionally skilled businessman who won people over with his foresight, his unmatched understanding of human nature, and his sincerity.

It is a great honor for us to have been invited to this special celebration today.
